BIO: This is a view in the walled garden at the Henry Clay Estate which I took in 1994 shortly after a major restoration of the estate. The sundial in the center belonged to the Anne Clay McDowell family who owned the property from 1882 until it was given to the Henry Clay Memorial Foundation in 1948. Anne was a granddaughter of Henry and Lucretia Clay. The garden was originally designed in 1950 by the local garden club. They have maintained it ever since the estate was opened to the public.
